Comme le suggèrent notre note 4 et nos commentaires 42, nous n'offrons rien de moins qu'une expérience gastronomique de premier ordre.

A pleasant experience all round, we had the menu formulé for lunch consisting of three courses with a choice for each.Starter (as per photo) was battered shrimps with garlic aioli and salad. This was followed by steak and frites (for me) and paella for my OH. Desert was ice-creams or for me the assiette gourmand consisting of a pleasant tarte and a mango puree/cream.A pleasant and equally important unrushed meal.
Cool Deal on a Hot DayAfter 10 days of unrelenting heat here in SW France, spent clearing and redesigning the garden, and building a deck, friends told us we needed a break one lunchtime and asked for ideas for a relaxing lunch. We’ve heard good things about the R’Naissant and decided to try it, particularly since it is only 10 minutes’ drive from our place. On arrival we were shown to a lovely cool shaded courtyard at the back of the restaurant, and offered the plat du jour for under €13 per head. This day’s choices were Onion Tart or help-yourself cold buffet, followed by steak (Robert’ had this and it was HUGE) or fricassee of chicken with chips and salad - not at all greasy, but delicious. Then we had home-made Isles Flottante (see pic) - a local favourite featuring soft cooked egg whites and creme anglaise (custard!). We demolished a litre of a pleasant chilled house white (for a very good price of €7) and coffees, with the total bill, including service of just under €69. I paid and told my friends the bill to pay their half, they assumed at first the total was their half-share The service was good, despite being a busy lunchtime and just 2 people coping with all of the restaurant, and it was as fast as you wanted it to be - next course was ready when we were, but no pressure to rush you. The temperature in the pleasant, flowery, fully-shaded courtyard was perfect for short sleeves, depite a full sun above,The only problem is that such a nice lunch as this slows down your home improvement plans no end, but hey - why are we here in the first place! I attended the restaurant with 22 other guests and we were seated on the terrace to the rear of the property. The staff were attentive and friendly and I really enjoyed my meal.
Le cadre est sympas! Le personnel accueillant !! Pour la cuisine les plats sont bien dosées et bon!! Le menu à 25 € est honnête !!Ce restaurant est un bon traditionnelle mais en aucun cas un gastronomique !! Je le recommandes pour soirée tranquille, en famille ou en amoureux !!!
Toujours aussi agréable aussi bien par l'accueil que par la cuisine .. Beaucoup de fraîcheur ds les plats ...
Rien à dire pour les sauver encore une fois ou alors ils choisissent leurs clients ... rien de fait maison excuser moi Jean Claude S ... Et je ne pense pas m'y connaître moins que vous en cuisine ...
Great food, lovely service, simple menu really well executed. Would definitely recommend. Went on a Monday evening which was good as many places closed on a Monday. Lovely welcome& overall very good value. Will be back !!
