.in fact, absolutely lovely burger. I've seen a few comments on the staff, they were fine with us, and we have two kids with autism (which the french are typically not helpful with, but these guys were fine.) Nice spot to while away an hour with a beer and burger.
Went there during Holliday in August. Beef filet was excellent ! (Meal of the day ) Good spot on seafront. Staff was really nice with us, fast and good service

La Comete is located at the promenade of Les Sables D'olonnes. It offers excellent cocktails and great food. The shrimps and calamares are very nice. Do try the magret de canard filets. For desserts there is a good café gourmande or large idee creams. It can be very busy but the service is good and friendly.
If you are looking for a nicely decorated, warm place away from the crowded restaurants near the port, this is a great spot. Fish and meat dishes are copious, original and housemade. Nice selection of wines, friendly and professional staff.
Chose this restaurant as it was on the front. Waited ages to be served drinks without any acknowledgement. Once served drinks assumed service would be ok then ignored for second round of drinks and then for food. very un-relaxed experience I must assume return custom not required due to being a holiday resort.
Having had a terrible meal in Sable D'Olonne last year whilst on holiday we decided to stroll the seafront looking for another restaurant to eat at. After looking at several menus we choose the La Comete based on appearance and menu. We were not disappointed, service was very good, the food was excellent and the price considering location and views in all our opinions was very reasonable. Being allergic to seafood I had the magret du canard, which was one of the best I have ever had. My partner and our friends all had the moules, which they thoroughly enjoyed. My partner even said they were best she had eaten, and we have lived in France for 11 years.
C'était bon mais déçue des quantités dans mon assiette (tout petits morceaux de poissons). Un des serveurs n'a pas vraiment été agréable donc c'est dommage par contre la responsable est plus commerçante.
