Great location and has a wide selection of pizzas and pasta dishes. My family and I had a pizza for lunch and the food was excellent. This was backed up by very good service from the staff. Recommended. The city itself is beautiful - we were there on a day trip.
The Woodfired pizza are really good, the dough is thin but tasty, nicely burn with good toppings, it's nearly 5 stars for the pizza. But the service is a disaster, so it kill the experience, it's a shame. Avr price: 15€/person
Got takeaway pizzas.It was a miserable rainy night, with a small number of diners in. Nice looking place. .BUT!The pizzas were second rate, poor, edible and wood fired. They were not made by pizza lovers and it is a waste of a lovely looking, well stoked wood fire (I would love to have in my back garden, if I had a garden big enough).My pizza was the Charcutiere:- it was OK after being doused with the sachet of spicy oil. The ingredients were of cheap quality, the base was nice and thin.Partner's Pizza:- Nice base.....Goats cheese was not even coloured just soft. Tomatoes were very large and thick cut, no colour, mushy, not pleasant. They used mesclun instead of rocket piled in the middle. Honey dressing squirted on as an afterthought.The Perrier water was the same price as the wine ... to my horror! The wine making process must be getting really cheap and simple these days!Very disappointed!
I would not return to this RESTAURANT as I found it expensive and the set meal was only 2 courses. I cannot say I enjoyed the food here and would not return.
What a shame, this used to be a lovely place to eat with the family, but the same can no longer be said. The food is decidedly mediocre, the service, and not (I believe) the fault of the charming waiters who were smiling and obliging we had someone called Nicolas who spoke English well, it seemed the problem was in the kitchen, and given how long it took for the food to arrive it would be reasonable to expect something a little more appetising. The only reason I gave it three stars was because the waiter was charming and helpful, the food and the price certainly does not deserve it. What a shame!
Excellent food and service. Great pizza's. Excellent desserts. Location is perfect. Have been many times and always great.
My family and I visited l'Amarena twice whilst we were in Vendee (We weren't staying in the area either).The staff were incredibly pleasant, helpful and polite on both occasions.Looking at other people's orders, the food looked delicious; I wasn't disappointed.Not only were the service and food great but the general atmosphere was lovely too.We had a wonderful view of the harbour. Even the rainstorm on our second visit couldn't ruin the atmosphere.Overall, it's a fantastic, family-friendly restaurant. Dogs are also welcome for any of those with them!I would definitely recommend l'Amerena to anyone in/visiting Les Sables-d'Olonne.
Large menu of italian food, good service, well tasting meal. Large range of 2,- 4- 6-person tables. Nice view over yacht harbour
