Les Chalets Du Thorens - Les Belleville

I've been in Mc Thorens in April ! A very sweet lady at the payment and really good burgers ! I love this place

Good selection of foods but not the most comfortable place to sit outside. Also, quality of self serve food not great. Table service and full restaurant menu is very good, although not the cheapest.

Decided to visit the bar / restaurant for some hot drinks at 16:45pm on Saturday 1st April. Party of 3 and after a long day in need of some hot drinks. Our request was met with an immediate you would like some beer? At that point it became clear there were no more hot drinks as they had cleaned the coffee / hot chocolate machine. Three more customers followed and the same response. I realise the weather was terrible and things may have been quiet but this is peak season. Clearly more interested in closing early.

Stopped here for lunch during a day's skiing. There were tables available in the restaurant, while the self service was packed. It did fill up quickly though. Food was excellent really, the steak was served to order with a hot stone. The onion soup was really quite something - your classic chunky restorative French soup full of croutons and cheese. The dessert buffet is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth. Only gripe - and this is a common one with restaurants in the resort - is the service. The staff there did a great job but were simply too stretched once the restaurant became full to deliver a good level of service to each table. We felt like we had to repeatedly hound the staff to get and pay for the bill - which is always a shame to finish a nice lunch on that note when you're keen to get back on the slopes. Tip - sit indoors if you can not in the "bubble" which is hot and stuffy and can be too bright.

We absolutely love Chalet Du Thorens. It is such a great place to stop and watch the world go by on the mountain. There is live music everyday in particular Kenny and Baud do a great set nearly every day. Next door is Bar 360 which hosts events and some some of the best visiting DJ's. Afrojack was there again this year whilst we there. Apart from the indoor restaurant which we haven't tried, there is outside a waffle counter, and another fast food counter serving paninis, chips etc looked after by Carlos who always very welcoming and friendly. What more could want than a cold beer, vin chaud, good food & music and amazing view.

Had a wonderful evening here, picked up by skidoo and driven the half a mile up the slope for dinner. Very good service and fantastic food. Staff went out of their way to accommodate vegetarians when there was little on the menu for them.

We arrived early for lunch while the place was mostly empty and should have been tipped off by how many times the waiter said he would be over and would bring water and didn't. My steak was not cooked as ordered. My husband's cheese omelette had no cheese and I had to ask 3 times of 3 waiters to get ketchup. The main waiter took back the omelette and then instead of bringing a cheese omelette just brought back the same one and some grated Parmesan. He was combative when we told him what was going on. Meanwhile outside the self service patrons were enjoying their delicious looking food and live music. Never again.

Wow Walter is amazing. The sushi was the best that we've ever tasted. The presentation of food and service were impeccable. Highly recommended
