The restaurant itself was in a nice position in the town and we were able to sit outside under the cover which was pulled back when the sun started to come out. There was little explanation of the dishes other than the French names and certainly no translation (which was not an issue as we both speak French). I asked our waitress, when she came to take our order, what was in a certain dish and she told me two of the ingredients but didn't give me any more detail than that. Having ordered our two dishes, I then went up straight away to where the waitresses were standing to change my order. Our server seemed very put out by this and annoyed at me although one minute maximum had passed since she left our table. When the dishes arrived, the serving sizes were very generous but my father's order was incorrect. I went up to tell her and she insisted that he had asked for a Caesar Salad. Given he is a vegitarian and has been for years, it is certain that he did not asked for that. However, we would have been more than willing to look over this mistake had she not then spent the rest of the time serving us with an incredibly stony face and rude manner, in high contrast with her behaviour at the tables around us.My father's correct dish took a long time to arrive and the goats' cheese macaroni was average. The chips in my dish were not particularly nice.Once we had finished our meal, we made every attempt to catch a server's eye so they could come and clear our plates away. Despite multiple instances of eye contact, the two waitresses continued to ignore us for 15 to 20 minutes before we both gathered our bags together as though preparing to go. Our waitress then hurried over with a bill, we payed and left without coffee or looking at the desert menu as we might usually have done.I do not recommend this café - the food was average and the service was down right rude; we were made to suffer for the waitress' honest mistake.
