This is the local cafe/workers lunch stop, fairly basic inside but v clean. We booked a table for 9 people and received a v friendly meet and greet from both owner/waitress and the customers! There was no English spoken but we all coped and really enjoyed ourselves. For €11.50 we had a buffet of cold quicke, salad, cheeses, then choice of 3 mains (today's was hake, beef and steak), cheeses, choice of 2 puds and coffee. All v good quality and huge portions with excellent local cider and a passable white wine.I do not know how they produce such good food for €11 but they do and I would strongly recommend and will revisit when in the area.

We popped in here and had a really good value lunch. We had four courses with the starter as a help yourself to the buffet, then a choice of a hot main followed by cheese and a desert. Great value for money. We had fried chicken and chips which was good and will definitely recommend it to anyone who is in the area.

This bar/shop/restaurant is the sole business in the village of Le Quillio. It was recommended to us as an experience of the local workmans lunch by the owners of a gite we rented and it did not disappoint. Each day they have an €11 (yes, €11) 4 course lunch comprising of buffet entree (salad, cold meats), three choices of main, cheese & dessert, complete with wine or cider included in the price. The day we ate the choices were pork fillet, steak or hake all served with a choice of sides and the portions were large and tasty. I would happily have paid double for my meal. The local cider is also very good. After a meal of this size I've no idea how the local workers return to work.Definitely recommended for a taste of local life.
