Le Mont can be quite intimidating due to the sheer volume of tourists there. We ducked into this creperie for a a Nutella pancake, coffee and three biscuits each for €5 per person - not bad for a snack. Restaurant was extremely warm inside with no ventilation and the tables were never cleaned during our visit. No toilet paper or hand soap.

We stopped by on our way down from the Abbey for a cup of coffee. We ordered "two large coffee with milk" and got two small cups. They costed 5 EUR each, which was the most expensive coffee so far in France. To top this, it all felt dirty and birds were flying in the dining area eating leftovers.

We stopped 3 to 4 times at this eatery for coffee and pastries for breakfast - it is good for the value.

This has got to be the worst cafe in the world. 7 euros for 2 coffees, served and drunk in an establishment covered from head to foot in bird excrement. Loose flying birds enter the cafe and leave their mess on the tables, chairs and even the food counter. I cannot understand how this hovel of an eatery has not been shut down. A serious risk to health. Avoid at all costs.

Knowing that prices on the Mont are inflated because of the location, this was a good option for fairly cheap brunch on the way up to the abbey. Don't expect anything wonderful because you won't get it. Croissants and crepes are reasonable, but if you value coffee, get it elsewhere.

We got the crepes here for breakfast our first morning in Mont Saint-Michel. They were just average. Service was OK but the seating area has very low ceiling with timber so watch your head. This café has an open frontage so the birds can get in easily. We worried it might be a bit unsanitary with bird flying around the food prep area and the birds can be a nuisance in the seating area as the pictures already posted here show. If you are looking for better than average crepe, this is not the place for you.

Recently visited Mont Saint Michelle on a cold and humid day. Started walking up the beautiful narrow street when we passed what appeared a nice place for pastries and tea. The lady behind the counter appeared ready to serve, (or to fight as we learned...). I asked her if we could seat inside and order some tea and pastries. She rudely answered that it was self service and we had to order on the counter and carry our food to the tables, which was ok. We looked at the prices of the pastries in the display, and decided the prices were on the outrageous side, so we ordered 3 hot tea and a hot chocolate. Very disgusted, she reached for some small paper cups and put them under an instant coffee machine (not a real coffee machine...) filled the cups with hot water and put them on a tray with a tea bag in an envelope and demanded 4 Euros for each cup. I asked her if she had real tea cups, ceramic, with a handle, like they use in most restaurants in France, she screamed NO and demanded 16 Euros for the four cups. I asked her again, and she started screaming that she wanted 16 Euros. To which I replied forcefully that I would not take the tea like that, but would pay for the hot chocolate and we would go somewhere else for tea. I handed my credit card to pay for the 4 Euro hot chocolate and she kept screaming that wanted cash because it was under 10 Euros. I said no, you must accept the card, which she did reluctantly. I asked where the restroom was and she said I had to go down to the entrance of the monastery (5 min walk). I said no, I want to use the restroom here, and she pointed me up the stairs close to the dining room. The dining room and the restroom were filthy, and a few unlucky customers were eating with unhappy faces. Summary, this place should not be in business with this unhealthy filth, poor service, and products not acceptable (hot tea on a little paper cup is not Normand...), and the lady behind the counter should take some customer service classes and also attend charm school. Most people like us travel a long way and spend a lot of money to go there and deserve better than this.

To start, this place does not seem to be clean and, for me, a place that sells food MUST be clean. The food was just ok, it could be better.
