Driving through the region came upon this restaurant. Very busy, which is a good sign. Only menu de jour available, but that was a lovely salad with lardons and poached egg, grilled sausage and baked potato, cheese, then creme brûlée. All with water and wine. Excellent. Firmly marked on the map for when we pass again.
Very good value lunch time food, no choice but we have never been disappointed. The evening a la carte menu is excellent value.
A real gem, but be sure to make a reservation as it's tiny, especially for Sunday lunch. Many disappointed hungry people were turned away today.
Everything was delicious and the service was great. It was also a short walk from our hotel (Clos du Chevalier).
We loved this little restaurant. The food was fantastic. They smoke salmon on site in a smoker in the old fireplace. It is unbelievable. My wife has fallen deeply in love with foie gras after trying the plate with smoked, traditional and poached in wine. It was life changing.
This restaurant was recommended to us by Pascale from Le Clos du Chevalier and it didn't disappoint! We loved how the dishes were introduced, it certainly showed how much the owner cares about what he sells. Only regional produce cooked by the very talented Sylvie. And don't forget to order the house's rosé! A real gem!
This is a favourite restaurant in the area now. It is a bar and restaurant on the road between Gramat and Junction 56 of the A20 motorway. The food is interesting, well cooked and very reasonably priced. The ambiance of the place is not promising with its bright lighting and enormous TV but don't let that put you off. The dishes offered are mainly local but with interesting interpretations. For example, the local confit duck came in a 'parmentier', the foie gras came as a trio, etc The dishes on offer are chalked on a blackboard - about 5 in each category of starter, main dish and dessert. We drank the carafe wines which were just the right accompaniment. Don't miss it.
