This restaurant is situated at the crossroad of three pistes so it is a really good place to meet. They have done renovations this year including a retractable roof over part of the large terrace.
Its less hectic than most mountain restaurants and you order at the counter so its between self service and table service. That said it is quaint, food is good and if its sunny there is a good terrace. Noce looking tarts for desserts.
Glad we found this place again on our return to La Plagne skiingFriendly helpful prompt service.Great crepes- just right for the kids and a simple green salad, chips and omelette were perfect to refuel and refresh with a beer and coke for the kidsPlanned our ski-routes to ensure we could keep going back- hot dogs a firm favourite later in the week!!Thank you
Lovely lunch in the sun overlooking the slopes. Homemade lasagne and omelette are recommended, washed down with a small kronenburg and a bottle of water provided free of charge. There was a long queue for the restaurant toilets but underneath the terrace are public toilets for 50 cents.
This is a great restaurant style lunch stop with a huge sun terrace.We ate the lasagne and omelette - both of which were very tasty and cooked to order.Washed down with a beer this was a great lunch!Would definitely recommend stoping here - and it's worth noting lunch will cost circa 20 Euros each - but this is the Alps!
Spacious split level ski restaurant, worth the trip. Bigger groups of 10 people can find a spot... If you come early that is. Friendly staff. French pancakes are delicious but the minced meat with a burger is also good. Forget the French mountain microwave restaurants, go to this one.
Good stopping point when returning to la Plagne from the Champagny area. But 16 euros for two small coffees and a small piece of tart is too much. It was quite cosy inside. We found a comfy seat with furry cushions. There is a bigger restaurant upstairs. We had a piece of walnut tart which we had to take back because it was too hard to eat. They warmed it up for us and it was then edible.
It's not easy to pick restaurants when you are on ski-slopes and suddenly hungry. You can have good... and bad surprises, especially because these altitude restaurants are obviously not cheap.On this one, I must say that we were satisfied. All meals are freshly cooked there (we had the chance to have a chat with the cooks after their lunch service), it's definitely not a poor "cantine". Moreover the location is really great, on the south/west side, you can sit inside, outside on the terrace, or even "outside" under the veranda.
