Great location right on the Beach super food at Fab prices and Chez Karine is just lovely so if your around just give it a try you won't be disappointed
We used to come here quite often.After our experience last week, not sure any more.The place had just opened for the season after a long winter pause.Obviously, they had forgotten to replace the rouille or the bottled salad oil.We suspect this is what gave both of us the runs.Karine, la patronne, is a moody character.She will greet her regular customers in a slightly cheeky, couldn't-care-less manner.But they love it.The lardons pizza was uneatable (too salty).The place is going downhill!
The restaurant is right on the beach and the tables are actually placed on the sand. We visited with local friends and, even in February, were able to sit outside and enjoy the good weather. The waiters are very personable and the food was fantastic. It seems very popular, especially as not many other restaurants are open at this time of year. I would imagine that it would be equally enjoyable inside on a blustery day.
A thunderstorm was forecast so we decided to dine here indoors. We were not disappointed, entrecôte was delicious and served with a range of vegetables washed down with the house rose. Service was attentive, helpful and prompt. Views of the approaching storm out over the bay as the sun was setting added to a unique ambience. Will definitely return. Very dog friendly too.
Been here several times over the years and have always had a good meal. This August was no exception, lovely setting, good friendly service, reasonably priced wine and the ratatouille and Dauphinoise potatoes are great with the main course.
We had lunch and fancied chicken and frites as a depature from most of the other meals we had during our trip. It was similar to UK pub food but ok. The glass of pression beer washed it down nicely. This place is handy as it is right next to the beach and parking is a short walk away.
Fabulous food and service, the best steak tartrare in the world! Situated on the beach - definitely recommended
This restaurant is called 'The Blue' restaurant in our family as when we first came here my son was 2 and opposite it is the red restaurant! We have been here every year since and It is still owned and run by the same lady Karine - my son is now 15 and this is still his favourite restaurant. We all absolutely love the rib of beef which is served with fries, dauphonoise and ratatouille. You really can't beat it. It is definitely NOT haute cuisine but it is great fun, relaxed and you really can't beat the setting. Karine can be quiet brusque however she knows what she's doing and appreciates big tips!We had a truly unforgettable night this year when she hired a Michael Jackson tribute act that had the whole restaurant up and dancing!
