L'aventure - Hyères

Used to be ok, now poor service, arrogant attitude, tasteless food, takes ages to have it and same for the bill

Can't rate the food as we didn't get to eat!!!!We arrived on the island around 2 o clock and had travelled a good couple of hours to experience this beautiful island as part of our summer road trip so were obviously hungry but eager to get out and around the island.Everywhere we have been on our road trip has been glorious and we have always met really friendly locals along the way until we came here...This lady left us so upset as a family. We didn't wait to be asked to be seated maybe that's the reason why? or they were closing? either way her treatment of us was absolutely awful!!!We saw a table free so sat at it, as all the staff looked busy. No harm done we thought, check out the menu while we wait. Then she came along and in a very abrupt and cold manor basically said no food, pfft leave. Then turned her back to us and said something to the table next to us, which we didn't hear but felt very embarrassed by it as they then looked on almost laughing as we left. We then sat across from L'adventure eating when we saw a group proceed to the table we had been sat at, sit down and order drinks??? so they clearly were not closed!?!As it happened everyone else we met after this was lovely and friendly and we had a wonderful day but at the back of my mind I could not stop thinking how this horrible and rude lady had caused such unnecessary upset to us, for her bad manors!!!

Very bad cuisine. No savour. Oily pizza. Dry fish and cheap rice. Maybe, this restaurant is ok for a simple drink and coffee.

Dropped in here as there was live jazz on the village square and the smell from the pizzas being brought out was very enticing after an afternoon out on the bike. I was actually on my way back to my hotel for a demi-pension table d'hote 3-course dinner which I just didn't feel up to getting through and wanted something quick and simple instead.Lots of choice and fairly priced for Porquerolles. In the end I had a huge bowl of Moules Provencale (which were delicious) with baguette and a plate of chips, accompanied by a glass or rose and followed by a tasty chocolate ganache dessert. The whole bill came to 22 Euros, which was very good value for here.Perhaps most of all the atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming, and felt very much "at home". It's something that's hard to put your finger on but they had it right.Service was prompt, attentive and professional. There were a handful of mussels which hadn't opened (which I discarded) and I'm guessing this is down to supply issues - apart from this I would have given it an 'Excellent' rating. I'd definitely eat here again.

After a whole day out at sea we were all craving for some pizza, and we were not disappointed! All our pizzas were great, and the prices affordable. On the negative side- the food could be served a bit faster. It did seem like an eternity before we were served.

Very good menu, inventive, nice spicy mix from Orient, Asia or southern French. Need more salt on everything unfortunately. Very nice atmosphere on the square but very very slow service that makes the whole experience expensive.

in a fishing and beef island world they liked to leave the haun from padthai and offered spicy beignets and veggie nems.

amazing, the tajine and the tartare were super good. the personal really nice and professional I recommend 100% eyes closed
