Ouvert à l'année avec une équipe conviviale, nous mangeons des plats orientaux mais aussi classiques. Un endroit que nous visitons toute l'année.
We had no idea this restaurant was even here. What a pleasant surprise. We had been for a walk out of season missing our dogs and as we walked into the restaurant we were greeted by the maitre de, a very welcoming cairn terrier who showed us to our table. The other human on duty was just as welcoming. Everything about the meal was tip top right down to one of the best gluten free desserts I have ever eaten. Enjoy.
We have lived around the corner from this place for 7 years and have never been there.What a mistake the food and wine is very good.We will definately be making it a regular haunt.Only one problem is that it is so overlit, it feels like a cafeteria.
Our group visited this restaurant for a farewell meal after 2 weeks in France - a recommendation in the Tourist Office brochure. The food was beyond our wildest dreams. Three had a set menu - I now wish I'd also ordered it!! The rest of us tried a variety of fish dishes - all superb - including oysters which were delicious!! The waitress was very attentive - luckily one of our group spoke French - and she coped with all our vagaries. An unforgettable experience.
Took my friend who's a great cook and we both love fish. Entrees were ok, but main course was lukewarm. When we complained we got the real cold shoulder. Guess what it came back after a minute in the microwave: plate was hot but fish was still lukewarm! Third time lucky fish hot but by then meal was ruined.
Nice fish restaurant in the old part of Gruissan facing the etang. No outdoor tables. Main dishes can sometimes be a bit disappointing - depends largely on who is in charge in the kitchen I think. Once the food was almost cold, other times it is nice and hot. Starters and sweets are always nice although oysters tend to be the smallest available. Staff is always friendly and helpful, but no english spoken. Good choice of local wines.
