-Location: 4/5 (close to the city center, sea view)-Menu: 4/5 (well prepared and presented dishes)-Service: 3/5 (friendly and nice)-Price quality: 3/5 (good price quality ratio)We order fish soup as appetiser and grilled fish as second dish. Finally we got profiteroles and fruit sorbet as dessert. Everything was tasty and well presented. Definitely recommended

We went at 10 for an evening diner. The service is attentive, there is a kind fo "game" between servers which give a good atmosphere on top of the decoration which is eclectic !The food was excellent, we mostly choose fish to get local products, all of us have been very pleased with their dish.To be recommended

Living in Gruissan we had heard the excellent reputation of this restaurant, so had wanted to visit for some time, we finally did on New Years day. Situated in the port of Gruissan overlooking basin 1, this small capacity restaurant was immediately welcoming, the co owner team, Bernard the chef and Thierry front of house .We had pre booked for 1pm and on arrival was directed to our front window table which was already prepared for us. We speak basic French, Thierry was immediately welcoming and attentive, he explained the menu in both English and French, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the 'table de hote' menu. The 3 course menu had several choices for each course, primarily made up of fresh locally caught fish but not exclusively. My wife chose a duck breast and goats cheese salad to start and fresh sole with beurre blanc, and Profiteroles. I had a medley of fois gras, lobster and a quartet of ice cream with merangue, i requested that each course be served with a wine which perfectly complemented my food choice. The 3 course menu was 35 euros plus drinks.Bernard was very amusing, as he complained loudly abou the pressure he was under to produce food, which added to the friendly and convivial atmosphere of this restaurant.Portion sizes were enough and we left 2 hours later feeling well served and happy with our choice of restaurant for our New Years Day celebration.I would recommend this restaurant and more importantly we would go back again in the near future. Thank you Thierry and Bernard for a great welcome and excellent meal.

I wish I could give this restaurant a higher rating. I had read the reviews and it was recommended I go here by family and friends. To start I had the Pastille - From my understanding it contained veal and Fois Gras and served with a honey sauce. It was a little salty and lacked flavour. I couldn't really detect the taste coming through from the fois gras. For mains our table had the entrecote and duck with praline and honey. Each dish was cooked well - the meat was cooked to each diners specifications. The meat dishes came with a small, almost pointless, little dish of leek gratin. Shame there wasn't more. Also alongside the meat dishes was a tiny portion of ratatouille, a limp carrot and a quarter of grilled tomato. These 'accompaniments' didn't quite match the flavours of the dish. I think they were more of an afterthought to fill out the dish. The duck had sweet, pink drops with looked like small dehydrated pieces of strawberry...?! Regardless, they were very hard and I was worried I'd loose a tooth. The entrecote had a pale mushroom sauce - a bit cold unfortunately but tasted nice. It could've had a deep mushroom flavour but there was too much cream in the sauce. For dessert I had profiteroles. Served with a deeply vanilla flavoured ice cream - I hope this was home made as it tasted lovely. The warm chocolate sauce was a little runny but was very good. The choux pastry was light and buttery. The best part of the meal.Service was good and the waiter was well trained. Atmosphere was ok - You can see the chef in his open kitchen and the drama came when he kept arguing with staff. I guess this is part of the 'Act'?Costing roughly 30 EUROS each with water and a bottle of wine our table didn't think that this was too bad value for money.
