Someone I know recommended this place to me. There are not a lot of choices. For the entrée, there are about 4 choices and 2 choices for the main course. I asked for a karkadé (aperitif that is made from flower.) For the entrée, I chose something wrapped with grape leaves. It came with slices of bread and pita. For the main course, I had the beef meat balls. The spices are definitely there but it's not hot. They also have chicken meat balls. For dessert, I ordered their house yogurt. It was quite light and tasty. There's honey, berries and some sweet crunchy stuff on it. 25 Euros for the whole set and I was satisfied. After dinner I had a chat with the owner since there was no one else in the restaurant. He explained the pictures on the walls and there's one picture of his village. It was a great experience given my first time trying Egyptian food and I'd recommend you to try it.
I love this cuisine, very good quality and very good prices. The atmosphere is very family, sometimes there are concerts, I recommend!
We were able to attend the labaille cora concert in karkada, before it was served a very nice dish (inch or sheep) with oriental flavours, and a dessert with orange blossom. The setting is unpretentious, but the welcome is warm and allows to mix meals and cultural output. A good small address on grenoble to get out of the beaten and sanitized paths of some establishments.
The frame is atypical and the staff and the boss are very nice, we really feel like we're home. On the kitchen side I was disappointed. I expected a tajine full of flavors but it was low in spices, unsealed vegetables and the little meat did not really have the desired taste. and I stayed on my hunger for the quantity. The dessert was medium, really without any more. It's a shame because I love Mediterranean cuisine, generous and scented.
a warm place as there is little, where everything invites us to rejuvenate and travel... Tasty dishes with delicate odors with which we travel in egypte, a boss with sincere smile that welcomes us as friends and with whom discussions are a pleasure, exhibitions of photographers, artists painters, sculptors and finally small concerts some weekends...Love of good dishes, literature, travels and music I can recommend
on se sent comme chez soi ou comme un ami de karkade qui non seulement prépare de bons tajines mais sait choisir ses artistes qui donnent plutôt une touche de magie
une soirée cabaret très agréable en semaine lors de la venue de mathieu barbances chanteur, guitariste, bassiste...Un beau tajine d'agneau bien servi, un flan de riz coco fleur orange bien dosé et la menthe. Et puis la musique. Les avis sont partagés pour la cuisine, pour nous c'était super. Pour moi le lieu mérite le détour pour son ambiance, ses photos d'expo, son patron charismatique et très agréable. En hommage au musicien je vous invite à écouter une de ses chansons sur youtube, "cocool son" . bonne rigolade.
