L'aiguille Creuse - Étretat

J'ai commis l'erreur fatale de ne pas consulter Trip Advisor avant de décider de prendre un déjeuner rapide à cet endroit. Les propriétaires doivent gagner beaucoup d’argent grâce à son emplacement et ne se soucient pas de la nourriture. J'ai mangé de la soupe de poisson et c'était horrible et les couverts puaient. Il existe de bien meilleurs endroits pour manger que ce restaurant.

Quick service although not very frendly. Pizzas with too much cheese but fine. The restaurant didn't seem very clean specially the toilet. Average price.

Bad service and they allow dogs in the restaurant one barking loudly and trying to attack other dogs as they entered. Only 1 friendly waitress. Food nothing special

Just a few metres off the beach front, this restaurant is very popular and good value. The lunch and dinner menu is simple but comprehensive, and the staff very friendly and attentive. We ate here on several occasions.

Staff pleasant, food terrible, toilet stinks. I cannot understand why anyone would give this place a good review. And all at rip-off prices!

We went for an early dinner (530/6pm) with our kids. The staff were disheveled, the table we sat at had a cooked onion on one seat, crumbs on another, and a small bucket of water beside on the floor (I assume for cleaning?). Kids' and my pizzas were bland (almost like watery tomato paste with no seasoning for sauce), and my husband found something unidentifiable on one slice. My husband's steak (Entre-Côte) was practically all gristle, over cooked and generally miserable to eat. At least they didn't mess up the Stella beers we ordered.Last but not least, was my trip to the toilets with my daughter. Totally disgusting. As soon as we opened the door to the hallway leading to the bathrooms, we were hit with the smell of urine. I had to wipe down the rim, front, seat of the toilet, and then create several layers of toilet paper seat for her...thank goodness for hand sanitizer! If she hadn't had to go so bad, we definitely would have turned right around as soon as we opened the door. Needless to say, after that, we totally lost our appetite and left as soon as we could get our check!

I went there after walking through the cliffs. At the time, the service was not the best, but the galette was amazing. I eat one with chevre cheese. For drink we ask for the sensational apple cider. I would come back!

We eat here regularly, because it offers reasonably priced food and a good location. The view onto the carpark is not ideal, but it is just metres from the beach, far enough back to offer a bit of shelter from the wind. The food is simple but generous and the wood fired pizza oven is a real plus. The pizzas are very tasty, but so are the savoury pancakes, called galettes. Today I had the moules in cider with fries and a crepe for dessert. It gets very busy in the summer.
