Ok but nothing special. The staff are very good, the menu is average. Not keen on sitting below a TV screen blaring out. Unfortunately Duras as a whole is becoming colonised by Les Anglais and this affects what's on offer.
The change of name owners and décor has greatly improved this Bistro/Restaurant. Plenty of choice from one plate throughUn Plancha Terre ou Mer to a full three course meal. Food was great as was service. French and English spoken. We will return.This resto needs a new page under its new name
I was pleased to read earlier review about the woman in charge, as I now know this was not just for our benefit. The surly woman dealt with us as if we were an inconvenience. We would have eaten there, but the order for a coffee set a style that I wondered if she'd spit in our food. I have no idea what rattled her cage. We had to wipe the tables and chairs to sit down as it had been raining earlier, as she consumed her fag while watching us. Avoid if you like friendly service. Coffee was ok.
Service, food quality and price excellent. Very clean. Helpful staff. One of the best in the area. Will visit again.
This is my favourite pub in Duras we sit out on the veranda and watch the world go by lovely staff and i love the lay out
When we arrived the waiter told us 4 that they only had the last portions for us. The fish was overcooked, the batter soggy and the chips greasy. The carafe of wine was poor quality
Be patient , very patient to be served! The lady of the house just sits there and smokes while you make every effort to get attention.
Had drinks here both lunchtime and evening but didn't try any food. Waited a while to be served and wasn't quite sure on our first visit as to whether we should go up to the bar to order drinks. Didn't feel the service was particularly friendly. Asked for a Barcardi with coke or a Martini with lemonade but neither were recognised by the waitress so just had a coke! Thought Barcardi and Martini were actually trade names? Staff sat outside at a table and they seemed more interested in smoking and chatting. Didn't fancy eating here but free Wifi was a bonus.
