Le Coq au Vin is a charming restaurant in the tiny village of Coussegrey (30 km south of Troyes) on the beautiful highlands towards Chablis. The restaurant used to be a lunch stop for workers on the move and it is now a reference for the whole region. Don't expect high cuisine, it's not the aim. The cuisine is casual but absolutely excellent, all homemade with fresh ingredients, with warm welcome, in the family style like before the "globalization"! I have a country house in the area and i pop in there like at home.There is one set menu renewed everyday at 12 euros, home wine and café included. Not to miss for a taste of true French country side!
