We went to this restaurant twice whilst holidaying nearby, and took up the lunchtime offer of the plat du jour both times. The food was good, although the children's menu is a bit nuggetty for my liking, and the prices meant our meals were very good value for money. The setting is really lovely, on a small fishing lake, with plenty of shaded under-tree parking, and makes for a very nice meal out with the family.

We are so grateful to TripAdvisor for this discovery! It was joy from start to finish. It's not exactly on the beaten track (which means only the locals know the way) but the tourist information up the road was ever so helpful. So we ate outside at lunchtime on a spring day, on a terrace overlooking a trout fishing lake which had ducks and 10 newly fledged ducklings to coo over. There were just a few people there at 1215 when we arrived. By 1245, there must have been 50 or so. An interesting mix: the pompiers from the nearby fire-station, lots of chaps fresh from training the vines on the next hill and then some small groups of local worthies all dressed up for lunch in the sun with retired friends. The range was understandable: there was a full menu but the prix fixe lunch was astonishing: three courses for 12 1/2 Euro. The first course, a cheese ravioli was delicious, the main course had fab garlicky potatoes and good salad. I didn't like the large portion of braised beef that much - a little tough but those having steak tartare seemed to have done very well. And then the most delicious plum tart for dessert - easily enough for two to share. An Inexpensive "coup de champagne" and good coffee. Husband's salad nicoise was ace too. It wasn't gourmet but it was serious and inexpressivly French. We loved it. Be warned - mostly just open for lunch.

Très bonne cuisine, très bonne musique (vive la piste 10 de gazon maudit) et la patronne est très sympa et toujours souriante!
