Belle découverte, les pizzas en plus d'être agréable à regarder, elles sont délicieuses

We stop there at random and it was nearly 2pm however it closed at 230pm so plenty of time. But when we came in , before a hello all the staff look at their watch(. we feel that we were late).The decor was lovely, shame the terrace wasn't on yet. A waiter show us a table and gave a us a menu but didn't speak at all. ( no drink offer or a smile or something to make us welcome) . Second waiter was even more rude and the third one didn't speak France when I ask a drink so I ask him in English and he didn't bother to try to serve us ( he said wait for my collègue) this waiter was busy making so such noise on relay his tables ( dropping cutlery etc..)Someone take our order and same not a smile or even if we wanted a drink. The waiter was abrupt all way long. We eta 2 pizza as I didn't want to spend more money because I didn't feel welcome or people bother to serve us however the menu look lovely, shame I won't or recommand others about you restaurant.The all random experience was not good at all . My pizza was very watered and soggy , pineapple was cut far to big. A nice greeting and some staff who care about customers will better.I could carry on and on not sure it is worth it.

We've been several times now to l'Incontro and while it's been ok, we've always left feeling somehow a little underwhelmed. A combination, I guess, of food that is not particularly tasty (quality of ingredients perhaps), so-so service (does anyone smile there)?, a general lack of ambience (it's all rather stark), topped by hefty prices. Admittedly, we've only ever tried the pizza and pasta, and possibly their fish and meat dishes are better - but if an Italian restaurant can't inspire with the basics. Difficult to condemn outright but even more difficult to highly recommend.

Poor food, poor service, (relatively) high prices. This place doesn't deserve its customers, certainly one of the worst in the Pays de Gex.

Good place for family. Do not go there if you expect a quiet and romantic dinner. The food is nice and the prices are very reasonable. Service is average

So my parents live near L'incontro, we keep trying to enjoy the experience, but boy they make it hard!I want to start with the good points:I have a dog, a lovely pug, and she is accepted inside the restaurant, so that's refreshing in comparison to some places. The place is family friendly, we often go there with my 2,5 years old niece and they don't seem agitated or annoyed with her presence, which is more than I can say for most places where they serve decent food. Now, a part from those two, last experience was tonight, we were 4 adults and one child(my 2,5 years old niece).They lead us to our table where they give us no drinks menu, no food menu, nothing. We wait for a good 5-10 minutes before someone finally brings us food menus.After another 5 minutes, they come and ask us if we want drinks. To which I laugh as we don't have menus for drinks.Anyway we are finally ready to order, the order goes through, the food comes not too long after. They have made a bit of an effort in terms of presentation, but the pizza I ordered is wayyyyyyyyy too salty, it is actually difficult to swallow without needing a whole glass of water afterwards. Also the base was black, completely burnt.The others had pretty simple mains, and were fairly satisfied, except my mum's meat that was extremely chewy, so much so, she had to spit it out, although it was cooked medium rare. Anyway, we keep going, and I ask for a dessert that we will share. The waiter that doesn't speak a word of French comes back with our Tiramisu, with one spoon. I send him back to get a spoon, really politely, and obviously he gives it back to us, almost throwing it on the plate. The Tiramisu tasted ok though, nothing transcending, but good enough.And bear in mind by that point I am already fairly annoyed with the previous issues, and our main waiter who doesn't seem to have a face that can smile. I will go on to the best part, as he leaves our table, he accidentally pushes the full bottle of water onto the table, most of the water lending on my mum, on her bag and dress. He apologizes and his colleague comes to the rescue to give my mum an extra tissue.And that's it! Oh and of course, you have to go and pay at the till! They didn't offer anything for the fact that they soaked my mum. And there was no smiles. I wouldn't go there again, unless I am forced to. For the same type of prices I believe you can find muuuuuch better!

Was looking for a restaurant after supermarket shopping, passed by the area

I went with my couple. Great place with innovative plates of pasta and pizza. My partner order a plate of Tagliolini du port with Fruits de mer du jour, sauce tomate fraiche, ail, vin blanc, persil. It has been a long time I don´t try a plate of pasta so well-cooked. Absolutely delicious and tasty. I order a Pizza Kebab that was not bad but nothing to do comparing with the pasta plate. I recommend this place to anybody who visit the zone. However, i had to inform that the restaurant is not cheap but quantities in one plate are enough for one average person, unless you are really hungry so I think it´s worth it.
