A nice little restaurant with tables outside which is frequented by many locals giving it a decent Gallic feeling. We started with drinks, a large Leffe Blonde, a decent house white in a carafe and soft drinks/water. Our waiter, Fabrice, was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English too when we struggled with the French pronunciation, helped put together a double table outside when we decided to eat there too. There is a good selection of different Moules dishes served with chunky frites and bread. We went for Mariniere and one with cream and garlic. We also had Steak Tartare, which was one of the best I have tasted in France as it was really tasty and tender meat that melted in the mouth. We had more drinks and the pace was unrushed, pleasant with very comfortable chairs and a great evening meal. The total bill came in at 75 Euros so it was pretty good value for Calais too. We will definitely go back for a meal again.
