A nice little restaurant with tables outside which is frequented by many locals giving it a decent Gallic feeling. We started with drinks, a large Leffe Blonde, a decent house white in a carafe and soft drinks/water. Our waiter, Fabrice, was very friendly and helpful and spoke good English too when we struggled with the French pronunciation, helped put together a double table outside when we decided to eat there too. There is a good selection of different Moules dishes served with chunky frites and bread. We went for Mariniere and one with cream and garlic. We also had Steak Tartare, which was one of the best I have tasted in France as it was really tasty and tender meat that melted in the mouth. We had more drinks and the pace was unrushed, pleasant with very comfortable chairs and a great evening meal. The total bill came in at 75 Euros so it was pretty good value for Calais too. We will definitely go back for a meal again.

We stumbled across this cafe/restaurant after a one night stay in Calais. We were abit wary as there was no one else eating when we arrived. We ordered of the set menu and it was beautiful! We wanted to try some snails and did so here and we couldn't get enough! The portion sizes are beyond reasonable we were struggling to finish our mains but the food was that nice we couldn't leave it! The waiter was ever so friendly and made us smile! Would definitely recommend and definitely return if we're ever in Calais again!

Popped in for a snack lunch.I had a dozen snails my partener had moules. We both really liked our food and we're delighted by the flavour and presentation. The moules were a huge portion and my snails were in a delicious garlic butter.Lovely fresh lemon juice and fresh orange too.Great meal well served fabulous personality serving us

I have been going to this cafe/restaurant since the early 1980's, just for their French Onion soup, a speciality. The menu of the day is great value at 21 Euros, for a starter, main course and dessert. Don't be fooled because it is the Menu du Jour, the portion sizes are every bit as big as the main menu.Owned and operated by the same family for 40 years, we can't go to Calais without stopping here for our last meal in France. Take junction 44 off the A16 and It's only 10 minutes from the Eurotunnel terminal.Good wholesome food.

Stopped for dinner as was near our hotel. The place is in a desperate need of a renovation & a clean up. The food was average. Pasta for the child was swimming in the sauce, our meat rather tasteless. The tea was tiny cup & cold.

I have been to this restaurant many times but always had mussels but on the last visit I ordered the beef bourguignon - big mistake! It came out cold in places so had obviously been warmed in the microwave. When I pointed out to them that it was cold there was such a to do - it was unbelievable, really badly handled. They took it and as I was going to the ladies at the same Time I actually saw them just put it in the microwave to warm it up. I refused it when it came back. I told them (my husband is a fluent French speaker) that we had been many times and never had a complaint but they refused point blank to take it off the bill. Such a shame but won't be going back there

We had a reasonable meal, the staff were very nice and attentive. The food was fine but not great compared to what we have eaten in other parts of France it was a little disappointing.

We stopped for a dinner here when staying in Calais. I ate off the 21€ fixed price menu. I had quiche Lorraine, fish with sauce and rice, and apple tart. All lovely! The waiter was hilarious, and very friendly. Well worth a visit.
