Le Reef - Biscarrosse

Not a bad place for a reasonable family meal, great location next to the front and plenty of choice for the kids as well as the adults. Mussels were excellent in a tasty sauce and the Calzone pizza was above average too and sizeable! Set meals were good value.

We felt very unwelcome. A few racist remarks and we were made to pay upfront for our drinks.The really unpleasant thing though for us was that they put umbrellas up on other tables and left us without one when we had a young baby with us. There are some lovely people in Biscarosse and very friendly bars. But this was not evident at this bar.

There's no shortage of choice for restaurants along the busy sea-front at Biscarrosse Plage, but this one is always busy - and deserves to be. We've eaten here many times and have yet to have a poor experience.Good honest food - nothing exotic, but sensible sized portions and a good range of set menu options to choose from. Perfectly child-friendly and the ability to eat outdoors in the sunshine. What's not to like?

Rainy day in biscarrosse , 3 families 6 adults and 10 kids . Got seated quickly , all had pizza or moules . All cooked and delivered perfectly . No fuss , no mistakes . Just what we wanted

We took the family out in Biscarrosse Plage one evening. Despite being busy, we were given a very friendly welcome and directed to a table on the outside terrace where we could enjoy the beautiful sunshine. The menu had lots to offer to cater for all tastes and very reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and efficient making sure we had enough of bread and water. The food was really good and the portions were enormous even for the children's menu and the white house wine was of good quality. Overall, I would highly recommend Le Reef as well as Biscarrosse Plage which had a lot to offer with a great night market and lots of live music and street entertainment.FANTASTIC!

Family holiday stop. Seeing Biscarrosse on the map we headed for the seafront car park. Parking free and a selection of eateries as well as other shops. We'd also noticed the well laid out town which has a number of great looking shops and restaurants. We chose Le Reef as the food being bought out looked fresh, plentiful and appealing. Once we ate it was the same and delicious. Service was prompt and polite. English speaking waitress was on hand to clarify the menu although we are trying to utilise our French as much as possible. Definitely on my return list.

I had a late lunch here on a lovely sunny October afternoon. There was good variety on the menu and happily they were serving mussels and chips (moules et frites) in lunch-sized portions and I choose the mussels in rocquefort sauce.The mussles were delicious and fresh, the rocquefort sauce was excellent and it was served with a nice portion of chips. I chose 25cl of the house white to accompany it and it was perfectly chilled and followed with a scoop of lovely coffee ice-cream.The restaurant was busy and I hadn't made a reservation but they found a table for me outside in the sun. The service was very prompt and friendly and the cost was extremely reasonable.Very good value for money,
