La Ferme Saint Michel Restaurant - Beauvoir

This is an old farm which has a very charming restaurant. All french style. It's not a bristot, it has at least 20 tables but it's necessary to make reservation. We arrived in a bus stop and had to walk 10 minutes to reach La Ferme.

3-course Normandy-inspired tasting menus for €20 - 35. Very reasonably priced cider and wine. Complimentary water pitcher. Friendly staff. French-lodge style dining room. Perfect for a relaxing dinner after a long drive from Paris (or a full day on the D-Day beaches). Lovely interior with huge stone fireplace.

We were here for diner on our first night in the Mont St Michel area. If you haven't pre booked you need to drive to one of the barriers press the button for assistance and endure a sort of questionnaire 'so you didn'y book uh..., why do you want to come? err ... when?' etc, all in french. The restaurant is right past the barrier it is big and pleasantly decorated. Like everything else in this 'disney' it isn't cheap. There were plenty of empty tables and most guests were having the pre-set menus. The food was ok. Don't come expecting a gourmet epiphany even if you are ready to pay its price. We thought it was way too slow. We know it isn't fast food and that was not what we were after but having in mind that most if not all guests take the pre set menu, there is really no reason for such a slow diner. It is ok....

Our schedules changed last minute so we could not have lunch here, however they prepared us a nice picnic box, and also made us taste the "far normand" home made. the food was good but the best part were the person working here: friendly, funny and clearly in love with the region and her job. if you are in the region, you should come!

Booked a table here through TripAdvisor as it was highly rated and offered a 20% discount on a la carte dishes. Staff wasn't very friendly to the point of being brusque, it took ages to receive a menu and for our order to be taken, and we weren't served any bread or appetiser while we watched other diners receive them. It took another long time to receive our meals and we only received our bread once they served my entree. The food itself was fine, quite tasty, but nothing special. There wasn't much atmosphere and we never received the discount. We haven't had a chance to try anything else in the area yet, but I'd say it's worth trying elsewhere.

We walked 4km to go to lunch here since they had signs all over town that said "food all day until 10pm" and good reviews. Nowhere did it say closed at 2:30. When we arrive, the lady is like "we are not serving lunch" but you can get cheese and drinks. What?! I'm sorry but they should not advertise the "open all day, come eat here" message if they are like most French restaurants that stop serving meals at 2:30pm. Just a heads-up!

Restaurant is set in a beautiful building and is warm and tastefully decorated. Service was good and choice of menus excellent. We had the farm omelette followed by salmon and chicken main courses and local cheeses to end the meal. All of which were thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend.

Found this non touristic oriented restaurant in Mont Saint Michel.... a chalenge. Excellent fresh oysters and home made foie gras ( i recommend). Generous serving for a reasonable price. Friendly and efficient staff. Suggest you ask for an entry code when you book your table as the restaurant is just after the Mont Saint Michel entrance barrier. Free parking at the restaurant if you have your code to enter.
