Logis Le Relais Fleuri - Avallon

Nous n'avons pratiqué que le restaurant, mais ce fut un très agréable moment! Grande salle mais pas bruyante du tout. Table devant la cheminée, hélas éteinte, le service est courtois et efficace. Les plats sont élégants et de qualité. Les escargots sont à la hauteur de la Bourgogne! Étape à refaire, merci!

Retour de vacances. Avant de rentrer nous donnons rendez-vous à une amie pour déjeuner dans ce restaurant, situé tout près de notre sortie d'autoroute, où nous avons toujours été très bien accueillis. Pendant le dernier confinement la salle de restaurant a fait peau neuve: les murs et les boiseries ont été repeints, tables, chaises et luminaires ont été remplacés par des éléments modernes.Ma femme, qui d'habitude n'apprécie pas trop les charcuteries, qu'elle juge trop grasses, s'est régalée avec la mise en bouche: un pâté en croute maison à base de veau. Quant à moi, sur les conseils du maître d'hôtel, j'ai choisi un rognon de veau accompagné de champignons des bois, un délice ! Notre amie qui préfère les desserts a trouvé excellente l'aumônière servie avec une boule de glace. Si le décor a changé, la qualité reste la même.

This Logis is right off the and is worth the minute detour from the highway. Excellent service, surprisingly good food for cheap the menu du Terroir at euros is excellent. It includes an appetizer, main and desert and also includes an...amuse-bouche and sweets with coffee. We had the trout and beef main dishes which were excellent. everything was fresh and cooked to perfection, no bones in the fish folks!! Everything was delicious from start to finish. Highly recommend you stop.

Being a foodie restaurant, tables get booked quickly; we couldn't reserve one when I booked our room. Having arrived early we secured a table. The food is fresh and local and therefore the choice is limited. Let that not deter you: we had the most...delicious trout meuniere with al dente vegetables. An amuse bouche of beetroot and cream surprised up in a good way. I had the local cheeseboard which was served in the order one is supposed to eat it. The maitre d' could see my delight and offered me an extra one. My mother had ginger creme brullee, and loved it. We drank a local Chablis and finished with a Marc de Bourgogne under the lime trees.

this hotel is in style of a motel with rooms separated from the main building and parking outside the room. our room was next to the road that went past the hotel to a transport company and was quite loud due to the...heavy truck past. incapable of sitting outside the room on the grass. the room, although comfortable was in the need to modernize a bit tlc, but was cleaned daily. the breakfasts were good with a lot of choice. the evening meal was particularly good with a good selection of menus and local wines. the workers in the restaurant were very efficient and there were no inappropriate delays between the curses. all employees at the reception and in the restaurant to the breakfast and dinner were very pleasant and helpful in every sight. this hotel is located near the autobahnkreuzung. we would use this hotel again in the opposite.

we had a week in France and much too many average and bad meals. our last night and that was recommended by a friend. it is really good, honest and right to cook bourgeois. great appetizers and very attentive children's menu. great value for euros for four families with a decent bottle chablis. and the staff smiled and looked like they were taking care of them. bravo.

I haven't had a huge amount of luck finding good French restaurants in general but we stumbled upon Le Relais Fleuri and very much enjoyed it. Good French cooking with a great bottle of wine, an interesting children's menu, I would definitely return.

The rooms/chalets were very clean. The hotel is in a perfect location with no immediate neighbours so nice and quiet. The outdoor pool was very clean and quiet. The restaurant is very French and a little pricey. Mainly set menu's which could present problems if...catering for children. The staff were not over friendly just efficient. However we would stay again but eat elsewhere.
