Group of 8 on a Somme tour, stopped here for lunch. We all had the 13 Euro menu starter/main/cheese/dessert and Wine Great value, staff friendly, toilets good. Easy to miss, needs better signs outside.
Next time... we did drive through Authuille and located the restaurant and will go one day! Referred by the folks in Albert who own the perfumery close to the Basilica!
Wonderful service , wine and food. Good ambience and surroundings. Steps up to restaurant might be a problem for Disabled. Also typical French attitude to opening and closing hours. However I am part French and find this ok.
We had booked a table the day before but arrived to find restaurant was closed. We believe this was because of illness so nobody's fault but probably best to call on the day to confirm.
Set in The Somme battlefields, the lunchtime specials are good value, enough to satisfy most appetites. Not fine dining but good French grub.
I brought our battlefield tour group here for a lunch and the experience was excellent. Great food with wonderful presentation, excellent service and very good value. The staff are experienced at handling groups. Quality food even for larger groups. A great stop on the battlefields of the Somme.
Our group of 28 had a great meal with all orders coming out at the same time, excellent food, well presented and a great host. Tip: the Saumur red wine is a good choice and goes with most things
