La Terrasse Des Capucins - Arras

I'm a frequent visitor to Arras and have eaten here a few times now, always a friendly welcome, with well prepared French cuisine, I had the mixed meat platter last Saturday evening with a rack of ribs, steak and grilled chicken, with a large glass of excellent Bordeaux, superb..!The restaurant is usually full of locals, but was surprised to find it relatively quiet this time.

I would recommend anyone visiting Arras to walk for just 5 minutes away from the tourist trap restaurants near the two squares and visit here. Fantastic food , service and surroundings. Lovely courtyard to rear, ( with heating if it's chilly ) but still nice inside.

We were looking for a place that would have good salads and found this restaurants that had 4 flavor a of salads with fresh produce and local flair (I recommend the salads chti with endive, warm Maroilles, apples and walnuts). Service was perfect, present but not overwhelming. The wine by the glass gave great choices so we would not have to agree on one bottle to match the diversity of dishes. The cafe gourmand was pure joy. The perfect quantity and range of flavors. Very subdued decor, peaceful and quiet, the perfect location for intimate conversations.

La Terrasse Des Capucins is just a few minutes walk from the main tourist areas of Arras but is a world away from the usual" menu touristique" restaurants - decent though many of these are. The food is great- simple, fresh ingredients beautifully cooked. We had calves liver but others were having cannelloni, omelettes or various cuts of meat. All the other diners were French , which says something. Incredibly good value, too.We were on the terrace at the back - which does have outdoor heaters if it's chilly. Nice modern interior as well, if the weather demands Great place

A lovely evening. The menu was interesting an gave everyone sufficient choice. Hosting was fabulous, as was the wine. Food was delicious and beautifully presented

I was looking for somewhere local to my hotel and this one cropped up as an option. The menu is somewhat limited, offering four or so plats and desserts, I believe a plate of charcuterie is an option for entrees, and I choose to have a beer and a steak (they had it as a piece de Boucher) but I don't know the cut. Pleasant enough. Presented and cooked well. Nice outdoor area to the rear.

Je suis un habitué d'Arras et j'y ai mangé plusieurs fois déjà, toujours un accueil sympathique, avec une cuisine française bien préparée, j'ai eu le plateau de viandes mélangées samedi soir dernier avec un carré de côtes levées, steak et poulet grillé, avec un grand verre d'excellent Bordeaux, superbe..! Le restaurant est généralement rempli de locaux, mais j'ai été surpris de le trouver relativement calme cette fois-ci.

Je recommanderais à tous ceux qui visitent Arras de marcher à seulement 5 minutes des restaurants pièges à touristes près des deux places et de visiter ici. Nourriture, service et cadre fantastiques. Belle cour à l'arrière, avec chauffage s'il fait frais mais toujours agréable à l'intérieur.
