Le Montesilvano - Arras

We were looking for a late-lunch after visiting the Vimy Ridge memorial and we ended up in the Grand Place in Arras looking for a bite to eat for the kids. This restaurant was the perfect fit - quiet place to sit down and enjoy a meal.Try the Pizza - excellent choices on the menu and good sizes for sharing with the kids or a couple.

We visited the restaurant on a Friday night, was busy but service was speedy, we both just had a pizza both were very good, not a thick base but plenty of toppings, also sells excellent Belgian beer, do somewhere on the Grand Place excellent value for money.

You have to get use to in France to places with tables very close one from the other, this is one of those places. Not bad. You really dont care specially when the food and the services is very polite and good.My family orden three types of pizza, normal (not a pizza lover), they were happy but my hamburguer..Mega good and Im not a hamburger person.. Juicy and on the time I ask for, and the fries were fantastic..Very pleasant time we had there.. And again very nice place..

Ok, it was Valentine's night, so every sensible person in Arras(not us!) had booked a table somewhere and every decent eatery in Arras was fully booked, But we found Le Montesilvano with tables available even though it was pretty busy. Good things: pleasant welcome, nice staff, and a really great bottle of Muscadet. End of good! We had a pizza and a pasta, but i dont think i have ever tasted such a poor pizza. Sorry, maybe we just caught this place on a bad night, but i would not be going back.

We ate at Le Montesilvano during our recent stay in Arras. The food was good, we had basics such as pizza and lasagna so not too much of problem, it came timely and was well presented. The environment downstairs is really attractive with sympathetic furnishings, my only issue would be the staff are a little rushed, a little more help for them would go a long way - all in all a positive experience

We were made to feel very welcome in this small, buzzing Italian restaurant right on the fabulous Grand Place. Great choice of food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

Family group of 12 arrived on a busy Fri night, seated on two separate tables as they were so busy (we accepted as after a long day of travelling kids just wanted to eat), we waited an age to have our order taken, one guy looking after the whole of the basement area and running up and down the stair with food. Finally ordered and they forgot one of our parties pizza, told it would be 2 mins - waited another 15! No apology, very unwelcoming and wish we had gone somewhere else.
