I stayed at the discount hotel Atalanta in the Geneva border town of Annemasse (France) during a recent conference meeting and sought a late dinner in the vicinity. This Chinese-Vietnamese is literally 2 mins from there - and seemed a nice alternative to the mainly meat places otherwise available. I had Vietnamese spring rolls (large and tasty), a Cambodian pancake (with meat inside - nice), a crab salad (very tasty), and Chinese dumplings (set of 5 har gao) - all of which was very decent. However with 2 beers, it totaled 30 Euros which I found a little pricey given that I was hoping it would be a lot cheaper than in CH! Being able to have a great meal in Alsace for that price, maybe I'm just unfamiliar with those surrounding Geneva! Either way the restaurant is fine, staff (owner and his wife) nice and polite, and handy location to those staying at the Ibis hotels down the road.
This is our favorite little spot to eat on weekends. The owner is a really nice man that attends you in a warmong way.The food is REALLY good and the prices are amazing. You can have a full and delicious meal for a very reasonable price.
This restaurant does not look any fancy but the food is really good and the staff very friendly and generous! One thing though, do not wear your best clothes, they are going to smell fried food afterwords):-
On a quest to find an excellent Asian restaurant in our new area, but this one didn't quite make the cut. Very tired interior, and although the news were brilliant, the dim sum were average and the main (porch with 5-spice and beef noodles) disappointing.
This was as faultless an experience as you can get in a restaurant The food, service and wine was impeccable.
Albert 1er is by far the premier restaurant in Chamonix.

nous vivons de l'autre côté de la frontière française et avons eu de nombreux dîners, en couple uniquement ou avec les enfants ou amis au fil du temps. on n'est jamais déçu et on doit adorer certains de leurs plats... par exemple les nems sont un classique, mais ils sont très bons. un autre plat que nous aimons beaucoup est son écorce riche. sur une assiette que les convives cuisinent sur un petit grill de table. à part, qu'ils prennent un riz ou leur cour de légumes hack suey, ils ne seront pas déçus. De l'extérieur, le restaurant n'a pas l'air très attrayant, mais les propriétaires sont des gens très sympathiques et agréables et manger est excellent. les prix sont également très abordables à recommander pour une bonne expérience culinaire asiatique.
