La Brasserie du Casino - Aix-les-Bains

Have been yesterday with some collegues from foreign country. The personnel is professional but ready to answer to customer when complaining which is wrong: in brief, I wished to make them tested the famous cheese from Savoie; when we tasted them we understood they were too old and strongly tasty; so then we complain about that and they replied 'they prefer this way'; quite unbelievebale! for the rest the dishes are quite good and well presented. The wine list is nice. But I wish I prefer to go elsewhere another time.

We had dinner there for 35€. The place where you eat was quite close to the gambling zone. The food wasn't worth of what we paid, and for this reason I rate it "poor".

J'ai entendu dire que nous étions censés être l'un des meilleurs restaurants de cette ville. N'Y ALLEZ PAS ICI, discutaient les moules marinières. Sec et sans sauce. Les choses ne nous ont rencontré à aucun moment (croyez-moi, je sais comment rencontrer quelqu'un puisque je travaille dans la restauration)

We have eaten at the Brasserie several times in the past and always had an excellent experience: good choice on the menu, impeccable service and reasonable prices. Sadly our experience on Sept. 5th was aweful. This was doubly annoying because we were invited by visiting friends and the restaurant was our suggestion. Issues? First, the menu has been hacked right down, so little choice now. Second the three other diners ordered chicken breast which was delivered bloody and obviously compketely under cooked. My escalope de veau was cold and covered by a cherry tomato sauce that had obviously come straight from the fridge. Third, when we gently mentioned the issues to the waitress, she simply said she would inform the chef .... nothing further happened. This restaurant is not cheap and our treatment seemed completely out of character. You have lost a regular customer with the poor quality and offhand treatment of your waitress to our very polite complaint.

Nous étions en excursion d'une journée hors d'Annecy. Aix est un peu vieillot mais vous pouvez voir quel était son attrait à l'époque des foins. Nous cherchions un endroit pour déjeuner et un vieux couple français nous a dit que c'était un super endroit et qu'il fallait essayer le plat du jour. Eh bien, la décoration était très intéressante et originale, une tentative de capturer une atmosphère des années 20/30. Très bien. Le plat du jour coûtait 15 euros chacun et était très bon. Nous avions tous les deux l'option steak et c'était cuit à la perfection.

The restaurant is located straight beside the gambling room. The decoration is quite nice but out of theme. The service was disparate. One waiter was really good and friendly, but the others were cold and careless. About the food... Way better at home. Coarse, flavours unmatched (extra cheesy risotto with fish), not well cooked (chewy meet, skin not crunchy), flavours masking the real taste of the dish (extra spices sauce and extra cheesy risotto). Considering menu described the meals as home made or artisanal, the dessert (tiramisu) tasted industrial and the bread was plan. We won't go again.
