An unusual type of restaurant situated off the main road in a tiny little street. The owner first bought the house and set up a restaurant in his vaulted cellar with a outdoor patio next to it to enjoy a meal outside in the summer. The place does not really look like anything else but it is very cool! The food is top quality, the number of dishes is limited because as he explains himslef, the landlord/cook shops, cooks and serves alone every day. Nothing is frozen, vacuum packed or even worse canned. The wine is very decent and served out of a 'pichet': no expensive bottled wine to be found there. For a two course menu rounded off by a nice and generous piece of home-made tarte aux fraises + wine and beer, expect to pay around 28 Euros. The menu changes every other day! The atmosphere is very laid-back. Book a table as the place cannot welcome over 18/20 people. You won't regret it.
