The simple, rustic ambience of this restaurant set two minutes’ walk from the beach, provided a delightful and very affordable evening meal in mid-October. This is not the home of haute cuisine; rather, it offers the opportunity to enjoy simple food simply cooked. However, it is that old style of French village cooking, where you know that everything you eat will be honest, tasty and locally sourced. We enjoyed the three-course menu and a good bottle of Sauvignon de Touraine. With aperitifs and coffee to finish, the bill for four was €130. If you are looking for a Michelin temple, don’t bother; if you are looking for a traditional French restaurant with good food at a reasonable price, this is it.
