Hardly know what this pub is like inside, because it was so hot when we were there we always sat out at the roadside terrace. The young barmaid and her young daughter were as friendly as you could find, and they served with a smile and helped my improve my limited French.
A thoroughly unpleasant dining experience: poor service, awful food. If you dine on the terrace expect lots of cigarette smoke. A memorable experience, not in a good way.
We had a lovely (big) steak au poivre and a salad topped with fresh sautéed chanterelle mushrooms. Both were delicious. It was a warm evening so we eat outside on the terrace at the feet of the stunning château. Priceless view!
