We were welcomed for lunch despite phoning at 13:45. We had the lunch menu. Entrees were just ok. For mains we both ordered the bavette of beef (flank or skirt steak) cooked medium. Seasoning was a bit light, and there is no salt or pepper provided on the table, and there was no opportunity to ask for some. The sauce was not great. The frites were good. This is a challenging dish for an Australian, firstly because of the cut, and secondly in France medium steak comes with lots of blood (probably equivalent to very rare in Australia). For dessert we ordered a chocolate mouse and a tiramisu. Both desserts were awful, the tiramisu was was just a huge portion of thick paste over a minute piece of dry cake, and the chocolate mouse was similarly a huge portion of thick brown sludge.
